sits within Foreign Trade Zone #221. A Foreign Trade Zone is treated as if the property were outside of the U.S. Custom’s territory. As such, merchandise may be brought in duty-free for storage, repacking, display, assembly or manufacturing. Imports may be landed and stored quickly without full customs formalities. In addition, Arizona is the only state that has enacted special legislation that makes businesses located in a zone, or sub-zone, eligible for an 80 percent reduction in state real and personal property taxes.

Private Activity Bonds
The State of Arizona Private Activity Bond program can be used for the construction of industrial and manufacturing facilities and the purchase of equipment. Aviation facilities may also qualify for tax-exempt Airport issued revenue bonds.
