At
Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport, cargo is our focus. Gateway is the region’s
cargo growth airport and a valuable resource to the Phoenix metropolitan area,
the State of Arizona, and the southwest region of the United States.
The Phoenix/Mesa
area is home to 64% of Arizona’s residents, high tech manufacturers, major
service corporations, State and local government offices, and Arizona State
University. The region’s airfreight is
high in value and low in weight – ideal for air cargo carriers. In 2002,
Arizona’s international air shipments ranked #1 in the U.S. in value per kilo
and #8 in total value.
Gateway
offers many advantages to air cargo carriers and related cargo businesses.
