Doing Business at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport
There is an exciting business revolution underway at Gateway Airport, as we progress toward becoming a business and transportation epicenter for
development and job growth for the entire East Valley community.
Taking part is as simple as executing an agreement with the Airport Authority to conduct business here. This agreement can, depending upon the
nature of your business, take one of several forms, including a Property Lease Agreement, Operation Agreement, or License Agreement.
It all begins, however, with completion of an Agreement Application. You can get started by clicking on the icon below.

Financial and Business Incentives
A number of significant investment incentives are available to businesses making Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport their home. These
incentives include:
Military Reuse Zone: The Military Reuse Zone program provides a number of tax incentives to businesses providing aviation or
aerospace services, or engaged in manufacturing, assembling or fabricating aviation or aerospace products. These can include a Transaction
Privilege Tax (TPT state and county) exemption on construction contracts, income tax credits up to $10,000 per employee over five years, and
tax reclassifications to 5 percent (primary and secondary) for real and personal property located within the zone.
Foreign Trade Zone: The Airport is located within Foreign Trade Zone #221, meaning that merchandise may be brought into the United
States and onto the Airport duty-free for purposes of storage, repacking, display, assembly or manufacturing, and allowing it to be landed at
the Airport and stored quickly without full U.S. Customs formalities. In addition, the State of Arizona provides businesses located within a
zone or sub-zone to be eligible for an 80 percent reduction in Arizona real and personal property taxes.
Private Activity Bond: Arizona's Private Activity Bond program is available to facilitate construction of industrial and manufacturing
facilities, and the purchase of equipment. Aviation and aerospace facilities may also qualify for Tax-Exempt Airport Revenue Bonds.
With more than one million people living within 30 minutes of the Airport and the strategic partnerships shared with Arizona State University
Polytechnic and Chandler-Gilbert Community College, businesses have access to a highly skilled and educated work force who, in turn, will enjoy
an unrivaled quality of life that includes low living costs and exceptional education and recreational amenities that explain why Arizona remains
among the fastest growing states in the nation.
